Costs for Road Traffic Summary Matters

In relation to motoring offences We Offer a competitive fixed fee:
This applies to drink driving, drug driving, driving whilst disqualified, fail to stop, driving without due care and attention, no insurance, no licence and other summary only offences.

Costs for Representation for Guilty Pleas for summary only Road Traffic Matters:

1. £500.00 plus Vat and disbursements – which will include : Liaise with the Prosecution, obtain and consider the initial disclosure where available; Attend upon you in person or by telephone in advance of the hearing to take your instructions and advise you on the law, relevant defences and likely sentence; Attend and represent you at the Magistrates court at the first hearing;
2. £500.00 Plus Vat and disbursements for representation at a sentencing hearing and preparation of mitigation. This fee will not include an expert reports which may be needed. These will be charged for separately.

This fee applies to summary Road Traffic only matters.

This fixed fee applies to any Magistrates court within 30 minutes travel time of one of our offices. Our offices are located at Ealing and Hammersmith. We cover courts further afield but these a priced according to location and time involved.

In each case exact cost will depend on the individual circumstances of the matters.

Costs for contested hearing i.e. trial or special reasons hearing;

1. £300.00  per hour plus Vat and disbursements per hour: which will include preparation in your case : Liaise with the Prosecution, obtain and consider the initial disclosure where available; Attend upon you in person or by telephone in advance of the hearing to take your instructions and advise you on the law, relevant defences and likely sentence; Obtaining and preparing any witness evidence for trial or sentence;  Instructions of any experts; . Preparation or representation at trial; Any advice or assistance in relation to an appeal; Any advice or assistance in relation to an appeal.

Letters, Emails and telephone calls will be charged at 20 percent of the hourly rate, plus VAT.

Attendance and Advocacy, Travel and Waiting in the magistrates court will charged at £300 per hour plus vat and disbursements.

This will be conducted by a Solicitor or advocate of over 5 Years experience and the work will be supervised by Seema Dosaj.

Disbursements:

Mileage will be claimed to attend court/scene of incident which will be charged at 45 pence per mile. This will attract VAT at 20 percent.

If Public Transport is used for an advocate to attend then that will charged at the face value of the cost. This is inclusive of VAT at 20 percent.

Your case may require the instruction of an expert, such as a back dated calculation in drink drive cases. The fee for such a report will usually depend on the work which is needed. On average, we do not expect such a report to exceed £800 plus VAT. However this will vary on a case by case basis and the amount of work which is needed to be done by the expert. This will be discussed with you prior to any instruction of an expert on your behalf.
